Doll paced on the docks restlessly in the moonlight, chewing on her bottom lip. It'd been weeks since she'd sent Gin out on his ship to search for the Cloven Hoofs, and not a word. The knowledge that anything could happen chewed at the lining of her stomach and then a recent package delivery to the Inn made her even more sick to her stomach.
They'd found her.
Stopping in her pacing, she looked down at the scroll in her hands and unrolled it, eyes scanning the words once more in the light of the moon.
They'd found her.
Stopping in her pacing, she looked down at the scroll in her hands and unrolled it, eyes scanning the words once more in the light of the moon.
Tick tock little woman. We received your last message...are you ready for ours?
There had been a snippet of black hair in the box with the scroll, and that hair had sent shivers down her spine. She thought she had warned them away by sending the head of the enemy back, but obviously that hand not worked. Clasping her hands behind her back, she stood facing the seas.
"I cannot let the Kin pay the price for my past.." She murmured softly, eyes drifting to where Rasmira's ship used to be anchored. Tears slid down her face in the silver of the moonlight. "I'm sorry Rasmira, I've failed the Kinship..." Swallowing hard, she turned and headed back to the Inn to do what needed to be done.
---------
The woman had spent the past few weeks going over every potential course of action, but there was little to be had. Too many threats had a lust for her blood. They'd come, and they'd all tear the Kinship to pieces for her. It didn't matter that Gin was gone. It didn't matter that the Kinship needed a Harbinger...She had to go, even if it was the end of the small woman. To lure the threats from the Kin would be better than to watch her family destroyed.
-------
The it was mere hours before dawn as Dollraema sat on a bed in the Inn. She'd had herself locked up in here scouring her research, but to no avail. It was time for action, not research. Leaning over, the woman laced up her boots and stood. Turning to a slender wooden case that she'd pulled out from storage, she took a deep breath and opened it. There lay an assortment of weapons, blades of all kinds. Slowly, she started to arm herself, her mind wandering.
It'd been some time since she'd been alone and on the hunt. The last time she'd not even been aware of the enemy that chased her, this time there would be two enemies on her trail. It'd take dedication and cleverness to keep herself alive long enough to figure out how to handle the problems.
Slipping the last blade into the sheath on her belt the woman cast her gaze about the room once more. All her medical supplies had been left in the Infirmary. Her belongings had been carefully crated and Lillian had promised to store them in the basement of the Inn for her. The woman stood in a peculiar mix of leather and plate armor with nothing more than her weapons and her belt, with that peculiarly impossible pouch at her hip. On the bed, near the pillows, lay the last remaining items. Her charm. The Compendium. Rasmira's will. A single quill. Taking a deep breath, Dollraema picked up the Compendium and sank to sit on the edge of the bed. Slowly, the woman began to write, tears filling her eyes as she did.

My Dearest Kin,
It is with a heavy heart I address the Kinship in this late hour in such a manner. Previously, I've had to leave to tend to personal matters that put the Kinship at risk. It would appear such troubles follow me still. I will not allow two deadly threats to hunt the Kinship when both threats lust for my own blood. Therefore, I'm taking leave of the Bay this evening, publicly to hopefully draw the Cloven Hoofs after me.
I make no promises. They may still hunt you, be weary my family.
Rasmira's will dictates that a beloved friend be contacted if the chain of successors is depleted. Danielle Silverthorne is a woman that Rasmira respected & trusted enough to leave her Kin to, therefore I expect all Kin to show her respect. I've sent a courier to find her, and anticipate the woman's arrival in the Bay shortly.
I'm leaving my Charm behind as I venture forth to attempt the best I can to protect the Kinship.
I ask no Kin try to follow, as the path I tread is into the darkness, and I wish nothing more for my family than for them to bask in the light.
With much love,
Dollraema

Doll took a deep breath, her eyes dry by the time she finished writing. It was no longer time for tears. There was much work to be done, and much blood to be shed. One could not do what was needed with a soft heart. With that in mind, Doll tucked Rasmira's will into the Compendium pages before lifting her charm.
"Kinship, it is with great sorrow I notify all Kin that I will be taking leave of the Bay. Permanently. Please check your Compendium for further information. May the Light be with you all."
With parting words she hoped brought Daishilz to heel after, she clicked the charm off before any could respond with their questions. Now was not a time for questions. Slowly, she bundled the Compendium and her charm together in a parcel and then tucked the letter she'd written into the strings. The words across it read Danielle and nothing more. Standing, Doll strode downstairs to Lillian and offered it to the woman with hushed words. She nodded and took it, promising proper delivery to the right woman. Nodding, Doll flipped the hood of her cloak up and turned to leave. At this hour, the Inn was empty. Slipping out into the Bay she let out a soft whistle. Her faithful gryphon plummetted from the dark clouds of the night sky, landing quietly in the Bay. Slipping onto her back, Doll murmured soft words to the beast before taking to the air.
Let them come.
((Alright! So, this is my farewell to Kinship --at this point--. I may make a thread in Ancestry to record Doll's adventures, but I'm not certain now. For those that don't know, I've decided to step down and am actually playing horde on WrA and MG. I'll keep Doll and Ja'el both on ED though and if Kin want to RP, send me some IG mail or a forum PM and we can play! If someone wants to happen across Doll on an alt or something, that's doable and Ja'els out roaming Azeroth <3 I love the Kin! And Danielle it Triis' lovely alt that will be taking my place as Harbinger <3 I trust the Kinship to his capable hands. If anyone ever feels the need to talk to me, my Bnet and Skype are on my forum profile page! <3 *waves* It's been fun this past year, y'all! Thank you for all the lovely memories!))
